Preparing for Your Consultation
- •Bring your current eyeglasses, contact lens prescriptions, and any previous eye exams.
- •Pupil Dilation: Retinal mapping and complete evaluations often require dilating eye drops, which blur near vision and increase light sensitivity for 4 to 6 hours. Bringing sunglasses and avoiding driving immediately afterward is recommended.
- •Urgent Warning Signs: Sudden vision loss, flashes of light, a sudden shower of floaters, a dark curtain in your visual field, or intense eye pain after surgery/injections warrant immediate evaluation.
